Can't install Vivaldi
-
I've decided to try Vivaldi but I just can't install it, I've tryied both 32 and 64-bit versions and I did run it as administrator but it doesn't work. Any clues? The pop-up says "The installer failed to uncompress archive. Please download Vivaldi again" Sorry for my bad english, i'm italian. are you using win7, 8, 10? some italian characters use unicode, american use ASCII. is it an english language version of windows? can you submit a msinfo32 command screenshot or text from command prompt? without knowing anything about your setup, there's not much to be done.

It was reported multiple times already, and it's usually caused by the antivirus blocking the installer while it's being scanned, disable temporarily your AV and retry, report back if it worked.
And if there are problems with the language, there's always an italian subforum here
edit: only now I see it's the same user  -
No, it's not about AV. Nor anything else.
Your system is probably fine and it… just could happen  [sorry]Just try run same setup exe again.
And then again…
And again... Till it startsI had this problem in vanilla systems in about 30% of installations.
Downloaded exe was fine - just didn't want to run out of the box.
It happened in Win 7, Win 2k8 R2, XP.... -
In this case it was Kaspersky AV fault as confirmed by the OP in the Italian subforum

I think it's a bit more general problem
I experrienced it on 2 perfectly clean Windows systems (fresh installation without AV and any other 3rd parity software)Maybe just AV triggers that too

trying doesn't hurt I guess -

Lack of space or cluttered temp folder can lead to the same result.
Is not so straightforward to think that the installer needs around 700MB of free space to operate successfully.
