      I can confirm that the text pasted from LibreOffice Writer is jumbled.

              @mib2berlin @DoctorG

              grab a .odt sample file that contains formatting for example https://disk.sample.cat/samples/odt/sample-multilingual-text.odt

              Open it with Libreoffice Writer, select and copy a text region

              47c6f609-64a8-4b85-87ea-03037de54e0a-image.png

              Compose a New Mail and paste the stuff into the mail's body, you get this result:

                Hi, @DoctorG and me cant reproduce this.

                Try the following:

                • In Writer, type the following text Lorem ipsum … , select all and copy
                • In Vivaldi, compose a new message and paste the previously copied text into the message body
                • continue pasting until line wraps

                Alternative, after pasting text from Writer into message review its draft source and search for line-height: 1px

                  OK, this I can reproduce but I tested this with formatted text before.
                  Should we add the file to the bug report?

                    Absolutely, the issue must be of a deeper nature -maybe related to that link @yojimbo274064400 posted, didn't try that out- but they will find out what it is.

                        I can confirm this method too. Select all Ctrl+A and holding Ctrl+V until line wraps, continuing doing that it smears it even more.

                          Aha, interesting. This seems to be deep down in fundamental web code. I get the same error when pasting into the Try-It forms on https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Reference/Global_attributes/contenteditable

                          This fails both for Vivaldi and Chromium. It seems to work fine for Firefox.
