Vivaldi 7.2/7.3 is not displaying pages on reload

@SilverGreen93 said in Vivaldi 7.2/7.3 is not displaying pages on reload:
after Vivaldi was left minimized for more than 10 minutes.
That i a known issue for some users. Bug was not caught by devs, perhaps a issue with Chromium core and GPU.

@DoctorG
Hi, I cant find a bug report about.
I add tag and a link here to VB-116367. -
After more testing, seems that if I leave Vivaldi minimized for a while, the tab I have currenly in focus does not render until I re-minimize and restore the main window or change to another tab and back.
So there is still an issue to be investigated. -
@mib2berlin Nope. Using AMD RX 6600 XT.
-
I have the same issue. Going to another application for a while or minimizing Vivaldi, and then coming back just gives a blank display on the current tab. Switching to another tab and back triggers it to render. Very annoying, and new in 7.2/7.3 with no settings changes.

Hi, read above a bit, this is a bug reported and confirmed in the Vivaldi bug tracker. -
Got the same issue. On AMD and on the latest drivers.
-
Same issue here. Didn't happen on 7.1. Upgraded to 7.3 and it started happening.
Tried disabling hw accelleration, tried changing the rendering type in chrome://flags -> Choose ANGLE graphics backend to DX9.
One thing I noticed, I've been trying to disable efficiency ("eco") mode for Vivaldi to see if that is part of it. The shortcut I use has the --disable-features=UseEcoQoSForBackgroundProcess addition to the target field, and indeed that does show up in the process list as part of the command line.... but only for some of the threads spawned by Vivaldi. Other processes that the application spawns do not have that, and thus Win11 is putting them into efficiency mode. Could that be causing the rendering issues when leaving the program alone for a while?

Hi, as you can read in the first post of this page, it is a bug. -
Hi,
the same problem for me. If the browser is minimized for a certain period of time, the current page will not be displayed, it is necessary to display a different page or refresh it. I performed a clean install of the browser, but the problem persists.Vivaldi: 7.3.3635.11 (Stable channel) (64-bit)
Windows: 24H2, build 26100.3775, 64 bit
PC: Intel i5-4690K, nVidia GTX 1080Ti 11 GB, 16 GB RAM -
🪲Seems related to bug in Chromium 134 core:
https://issues.chromium.org/issues/405996206
https://issues.chromium.org/issues/406326912I hope, af ix is done after Vivaldi switches to Chromium 136 core.
