How can I visualize download progress bar
-
Just started using Vivaldi on my late 2008 Macbook Pro running running OS X 10.11.6. I was wondering if there is any way to make a progress bar appear when downloading a video from the Web. Also, whenever I open Vivaldi I get a box asking if it can access my keychain or something; I click deny but the box pops up each and every time I open Vivaldi. Is there any way to make this disappear permanently? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Did you disable "Vivaldi Preferences->Downloads->Open Download Panel Automatically"? If not, the Downloads Panel should open automatically whenever you download a file and in that list you see the download progress of the file you are downloading.
The only exception is if you right-click on a link and choose "Save link as…". Then the download panel is not opened automatically. This is a known issue that is internally tracked as VB-4069.
Regarding the keychain popup: Try turning off "Vivaldi Preferences->Privacy->Passwords->Save Webpage Passwords". If I remember correctly, that should stop the keychain prompts.

There is a teeny, tiny progress bar right in the download icon, itself. When that progress bar vanishes, your download is done.
However, if you open the download panel, there is a great big beautiful progress bar for you to watch.
