@sjo1 Sad. Sometimes Vivaldi does not work with all CalDAV servers.
I hope Vivaldi devs will have time to make a fix for Posteo's CalDAV.

Same problem here. Caldav entries in my calendar do not show up since update to Vivaldi 7.2.
Exact version 7.2.3621.67 installed as flatpak in Ubuntu 24.04 LTS with all updates installed.
All suggestions in here did not help solving the problem. When I go to settings, click on the calendar and click test there, 2 calendars (which is correct) are found.

I do not know if a test with the Vivaldi deb package shows better results.

Which CalDAV provider is this?
//EDIT: I tested Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Vivaldi 7.2 deb package.
I could sync my contacts from my own CalDAV (soGo) server, one Vivaldi on Linux, one on Windows 11. -

@sjo1 Indeed, it seems Vivaldi can't display some implementations of the caldav calendars, but without specific logging it's impossible to determine what is occurring in 7.2 version that is different from 7.1 that displays those calendar just fine.

I did some tests in a completely new caldav calendar provided by my ISP (XandMail Web Suite).
If i add a test appointment in Vivaldi, it is locally shown in Vivaldi and in the remote calendar. Other caldav clients (OneCalendar, Thunderbird, Linux Mint calendar, ...) can correctly display it.
As soon as I manually update Vivaldi caldav calendar or close and reopen Vivaldi (automatic caldav calendar refresh), the appointment locally dissapears while it is still remotely present and correctly displayed in other caldav clients.
I've exported into ics format the test calendar that triggers this behavior in Vivaldi and is really very simple:

As far as I can see it's a bug in Vivaldi browser that prevents the calendar displaying. Has anyone filed a bug report for this?

After every refresh, Vivaldi resets the local calendar to a empty one so it can't display anything. -

No, please do this and add ICS source.
Please report issue to Vivaldi bug tracker, include as much detail as possible.
Once that is done, share the bug number (beginning with VB-) you got by bug report mail. And if interested read blog article, if you like to know about "A bug’s life at Vivaldi".
Thanks for helping us making Vivaldi better.
-
@snertev If you can, create a test calendar and give login for it to Vivaldi dev team, just to check issue over a short time.
Makes it easier to find the bug.
Just reply to bug report mail you got and add login information in mail body. -

VB-115638
For the test account I have to see how can I do, because I can create only 5 user accounts on this domain and they are already in use. For the tests I've emptied one and now re-imported the ics file for that user.
Edit: I've asked for one more account to my ISP and created a VivaldiTest one whose URI and credential I've sent via mail.
-
@snertev Nice, thanks for report and test account.
I hope the deveolper which is on CalDAV can hunt the bug. -
We have identified the issue and hope to have it fixed soon.
-
@daniel Great News!

Having a similiar issue (if not the same) and glad to know that a fix is WIP
(Also Posteo CalDAV. Setting works fine but Vivaldi's calender is empty, seems like sync is not working correctly)

Similar problem here, with university's calendar.
I just upgraded vom vivaldi-7.2.3621.63 to 7.3.3635.2 (Gentoo), both are affected.
Setup is as follows: on-premise Exchange server (I know …), then a CalDAV server.
It used to work fine (probably with some 7.1-version, but I cannot confirm). Now, after restarting vivaldi: calendar was empty.
After creating a new entry using Vivaldi, it was shown and sent to the server. Restarting Vivaldi, this entry was shown for ~ one second, vanished after CalDAV sync.
This happened both with 7.2 and 7.3.During sync, wireshark shows ~320 kiB of transfer; when directly calling the CalDAV-URL, I can download the full calendar ~ 320 kiB.
