@DoctorG I'm getting the impression that my mouse may be faulty https://www.onlinemictest.com/mouse-test/
I've been around for quite a while and I've never experienced a mouse dying on me like this before

@S_Paternotte A new battery didn't bring any improvements. Yes, it's going to be a new mouse.

@S_Paternotte Oh, broken mouse buttons can cause strange interaction with browsers. I had such issue last year with switches doing sometimes double-clicks and driving me crazy. Buying new mouse helped as i am not able to solder such mouse switches.

@DoctorG exchanging SMD components is indeed an acquired skill and requiring specialist equipment at it. No DIY.

In the past I had often problems with mouses, mainly with cordless. Issues like bad responses, dobble clicks, slow responses ...things like this.
Because of this, since time I only use a gaming Mouse (Steelseries) with cable, because they have a way more resistence in the micro switches and better precision. They cost maybe 10 bucks more, but it is worth it. My current Mouse, imported from my prev laptop, works flawless and accurate since more than 4 years.
Never again cordless, because the price is mainly for the bluetooth device and not so for the mouse itself, often with cheap components.
