It's time to ditch Chrome...
-
And you'll find the reasons here, if you don't know anyway:
https://www.slashgear.com/1624952/vivaldi-web-browser-why-to-switch-from-chrome/
-
How many of these stupid articles have there been!
No one will give up Google Chrome as long as it opens pages perfectly. Unlike Firefox and Vivaldi, which stumble on every single place. -
@Tsvetkov1964, (???) I use Vivaldi since almost 9 Years now and never had problems in any page with it
-
I've fallen victim to an older article that has been updated. Already reported in:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/99980/slashgear-it-s-time-to-ditch-chrome-and-start-using-vivaldi-here-s-why
But to my excuse, the first mention of it is gone by unnoticed, as it seems. -
@Catweazle I don't like browser fanatics who have never “had one of these”. So what? The forum is full of posts about “dead bird” on pages.
-
@Tsvetkov1964, all browser support forums are full of reports of bugs and problems. Yes, in first Vivaldi versions I also saw 2-3 times a dead bird, but since than anymore. 90% off all issues are due to an extension, wrong settings, some security soft/AV or similar.
Apart of Vivaldi I use also several other browsers for testing and I use Vivaldi because it's the best which fits my needs, not because fanatism. I simply have not found another that is better and I have tried almost all, even the most exotic. The only ones I will never use are Chrome, Edge (this one only to download a Browser on a new PC), Brave and Opera. Currently I have also Mullvad, Zen Browser, SSuite Netsurf and Otter (discontinued). In the past also Maxthon, Pale Moon, K.Melon, Epic, Arc, Dooble. Min, SR Ware Iron and some others
My motto is always that of an old commercial: "Search, compare, and if you find something better, use it", period.
-
Hm.. i never use chrome because it tries to be modern but it always fails..
Vivaldi is better.. alternatively edge also doing good..
-
@suyashbagade1, yes , EDGE is tecnically a nice browser, but is also an privacy nightmare, worse than Chrome, same for Opera.
-
@Catweazle hm.. recently Google was fined too for collecting data even incognito browser searches.
-
@suyashbagade1, nothing new, the last time I used Google for searches was in, I think, 2010
-
@Catweazle I did: tried many browsers and now divide my time between Waterfox, Yandex, Edge, Brave. From time to time I try Vivaldi and after half an hour I close it with annoyance.
