Solved Friday poll: Mail, Calendar and Feeds
-
@janrif What would I use it for, though? I don't use any calendar software at the moment. Sure Vivaldi's calendar is there, I just don't have anything for it to track that I'm not already tracking in my head. If I were using a calendar on desktop, it would be Vivaldi's, but I'm not.

@marialeal I have recently started to use the feed. So it is too early for me to give feedback. However, Mail and top-notch Calendar are constantly in use on my desktop. I can't find anything negative in Calendar. That is actually the feature I like the best. As for the built-in Mail, I have two points that I frown upon at times,
1 - It needs two clicks to close the mail tab. I couldn't find a way to reduce it to one-shot. 2 - I am unable to even read if I receive a PGP encrypted message. I know that this is not on Vivaldi's docket, but imho at least a user should be able to autodecrypt an email if cannot send one. That is all my rant
I would like to prepare a simple presentation topic on the forum on Roundcube Vivaldi webmail option with screenshots and all. I was wondering if there is already one around here. Appreciate if you could let me know. Thanks!

@janrif It is possible to donate via paypal. I did that twice last month and it works.

@Ayespy We are unfortunately not getting a mobile app anytime soon. But you can set up your Vivaldi Webmail's calendar in a Calendar client, both desktop or mobile: https://help.vivaldi.com/services/webmail/set-up-vivaldi-webmails-calendar-in-calendar-clients/

@derDay paper calendar for the win!

@joeduffus I can't explain the technicalities, but I know it has been discussed before, so there is hope!

@sgunhouse Since you didn't use the "Quote" function, I don't know exactly what you are referencing. Sorry.

@marialeal
I always recommend everyone open source FOSSIFY an Android calendar client. It is the best and only accurately coded user friendly calendar I have ever encountered. To me it really is the gold standard for a calendar on Android. -
@janrif There is a link at the top of any reply to the post it is in reply to. However, i posted "Don't use calendar though." and you replied "Why not?"

Thanks. Just learned something new. So.....what's the answer to the question?
-
@janrif The answer, as posted above, is that he does not use calendars at all.

Thanks everyone for taking your time to reply to the poll and participate in the discussion. I've compiled all the feedback and forwarded it to the mail, calendar & feeds team.
Really glad to see 58% of you are happy using these features, and I hope the 37% who aren't, whatever your reasons, soon see the potential in giving our mail & calendar clients and our feed reader a try.
Have a nice weekend!
