Saved basic auth passwords not available in side panel
-
Hi, first of all: thanks for making this great browser! So many indispensable features recovered after the death of Opera 12. For me the sidebar is essential as it hosts my time tracking tool. The site for this tool is protected by HTTP BASIC AUTH. My password to authenticate is saved in the password manager. It works fine if I open the page in the main window. The login box gets populated with my credentials. If the page is in the web panel the fields are blank. This behavior unfortunately is consistent with different pages. Would it be possible to fix that? Best regards, Peter Klein

Same problem in Windows. I would like to use e-mail in the sidebar, but it doesn't remember my account. -
Is there any progress? Passwords in side panel still not work.

7 years later... and it's still a bug, and a pretty annoying one for my use case alas.

I updated bugtracker entry VB-17467 "Password autofill not working in webpanel" for current 5.4 Stable and 5.5 Snapshot.
/edit: I can confirm for 5.5.2777 that filling login/password does not work in modal for Basic Auth when running in a webpanel.

@DoctorG
Hi, I test this with my vivaldi.net account and the panel is still logged in after a Vivaldi restart.
Same for my Yahoo account.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Yes, the login stays.
But i thought startposter's issue was about missing password/login fill. -
@mib2berlin that's not the bug.
