Windows Menu / Task Bar (using hidden feature) unusable when Vivaldi is maximized
-
Windows 10: I am using the hide task bar feature which allows me to have a bit more visible space, because it hides unless I hover my mouse over the top edge of the monitor. (Yes, I also keep my bar at the top because I'm cool. lol) With Vivaldi maximized, I can not access this bar to switch between programs, see what time it is, check my network connection, ANYthing... this is a real bummer for my workflow. I know that I can use ALT + Tab, but this doesn't allow me to flick my mouse to the top and quickly see what time it is... or quickly open one of my tools that I have pinned to the task bar. So far, I am enjoying Vivaldi, but so far I'm seeing a few cumbersome workflow issues. I will keep using it to get a good feel before deciding.

This problem ONLY occurs for me with Taskbar at the top (Win 10 Pro 64 / Vivaldi 1.3.551.13 (Developer Build) (64-bit) and Vivaldi 1.2.490.43 () (32-bit) ).
As a workaround you can put it at left/right/bottom and the problem does not occur. :side:To report it
Go to https://vivaldi.com/bugreport
You will receive a reply email with the bug number VB-xxxx
and you can then reply to that with a link to this thread. However, the bug tracker is only available to Vivaldi and insiders, it is not publicly available. So the only way to know it has been solved is to check each Changelog as it appears.

I'm having the same problem with the hidden task bar becoming inaccessible from within Vivaldi - using Windows 7. However, I keep my task bar at the bottom of the screen. I keep having to hit the windows key to display the task bar, but it also pops up the start menu, which is overkill when I just want to access a different application in my task bar or tray.
Thank you, lamsharkie. I googled this problem and found your post. Although your post is only a couple days old, this issue is not new. It has been a problem for months, but I don't remember which version it started in. Did you end up reporting this as a bug??

This problem has been persisting for a loooong time now. The strange thing is from time to time it seems to randomly retreat for a little while. Little, like in half an hour .

I'd try this: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2733420 (Windows 7)
