Tab-close Undo banner sticking around way too long now
-
Is the tab-close Undo banner supposed to hang around forever, like 20 seconds or more, in the latest version? That's soo annoying, since I almost always browse in landscape mode that banner eats up a lot of my vertical space and interferes with continued browsing after closing some tab. Can I set that thing to go away in like 3 seconds?

@zir4n as a workaround (not ideal I know) you can do one of following:
-
If you have Settings -> Tabs -> Show Tab Bar = On then you can click the + to open new tab, which automatically gets rid of the undo message
-
Create Trash group and move tabs you want to delete there and bulk delete once in a while
-
Minimise Vivaldi/put in background (not close) and then open, and the message will be gone
-
Swipe left around bottom of app to switch to another app, and then switch back again, and the message will be gone
-
-
There will be a setting to disable it. Keep an eye on updates!
-
Wait, disable it? I don't want to disable it, I think it's useful in some cases, I just want it to be reasonable in how long it stays on, like 3-4 seconds and done.

@zir4n The time is controlled by Android Accessibility. It's called "time to take action" or similar. I have mentioned it recently in a similar topic.

@RadekPilich I'm still on Android 8.1 / LineageOS 15.1, no such option in Accessibility.

@zir4n
Hi, Vivaldi 7.0 get a setting to disable it in Settings > Tabs.
The shortest Android Accessibility time is 10 seconds anyway on my Android 12, on my 8.1 device there is not even a Accessibility setting at all.Cheers, mib
