Pinguin Radio player breaks Vivaldi
-
This is the first time I've managed to significantly bork Vivaldi! Yay!
I simply played my favourite music channel (http://www.pinguinplayer.com) on my new work laptop, and after a while this keeps happening:
I don't recall this being mentioned before so I submitted a bug report.
Can anyone confirm? To be clear - it takes quite a while before it will suddenly screw up, so you need to leave it playing in the background for an hour or so before saying it's okay for you...

@mossman Bug VB-24891

@mossman
My favourite internet radio too.
Works fine here. Played all day today. Nothing breaks.Details:
W10 Home Edition 64-bit, Vivaldi 64-bit (latest v1.7, as well as stable 1.6), just a few extensions: Xmarks, uBlock Origin, LastPass, Flip Clock for F11. -
Follow-up:
Today, the laptop froze unexpectedly while watching a recorded conference call and required a hard reset. After that I installed SpeedFan and found that the CPU temperature seems to be fluctuating a bit weirdly (was coming down from ~60C after the crash; then oscillated between 50C and 40C). So I decided to test the PinguinRadio player and it's been running for an hour (and strangely the CPU is now down to 30C).
So basically, I think this new laptop or its software is a bit unstable and Vivaldi was just an unfortunate victim of that yesterday. It's a bit odd that it happened several times and only when I was running the player though. Guess it's somehow related to hardware drivers.

On a side note.
I was looking for an internet radio station that could be used as a web panel.
Pinguin does this very well. -
@mossman: Maybe it'd be appropriate to edit the title of this thread?
@CantankRus: Now, there's a good idea. Thanks for this.

Pinguin does this very well.In fact that's what I had done when the issue first cropped up.
@S_Paternotte - AFAIK I can't edit the title now...

Ah you're right, that used to be possible in the old forum. Too bad.

@mossman I guess your graphics card driver may a problem.
Why GPU is it?Intel HD graphics 520 - and I see it's using "Intel dynamic platform and thermal framework" as well... that second one sounds like the problem to me.
