[Workaround] Enpass Extension is not working
-
Hello, I'm using Vivaldi Snapshot on ArchLinux with KDE Plasma 5 Desktop. After installing the extension for Enpass (https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/enpass-password-manager/kmcfomidfpdkfieipokbalgegidffkal?utm_source=chrome-app-launcher-info-dialog) it is not possible to connect it with the Enpass Desktop app. There are no problems with this extension in Firefox and Chrome! Can anybody confirm this behavior? Is this a bug in Vivaldi or in Enpass? Thank you.

Hi,
The issue has been resolved here in Enpass Forums
https://discussion.enpass.io/index.php?/topic/104-solved-enpass-52-browser-extension-doesnt-work-on-archlinux/#comment-447Just update it again from AUR repository and it will be fixed.

Yes, I know it, but it's not working with Vivaldi.
With the old AUR package the extension was not working with Firefox and Chrome, but with update of the AUR package both are working. Only Vivaldi makes trouble.
If I install Enpass manually (download the offline installer-script and install it in my home-folder) I have the same problem.

Have you tried
- starting Vivaldi before Enpass.
- disable code signature verification from Enpass settings (NA for Linux)

Thank you for your comment. The solution is the comment 291 in your forum (https://discussion.enpass.io/index.php?/topic/43-doesnt-work-with-vivaldi/#comment-291).
==> The Enpass extension is only working if I starting the Enpass desktop client before starting Vivaldi!
I will open a bug-report for Vivaldi, because of the missing of some API events from Chromium in Vivaldi (see the comment 291 in the Enpass forum).
Here is the bug-report for Vivaldi: VB-17167
