Linux builds

Is there any possibility to use Vivaldi on Linux distributions, not using .deb or .rpm? I'm Slackware user and want to use Vivaldi. Any advices?

Maybe you can try extracting rpm and re-building it? I usually do this if there is no .deb for my Ubuntu… But I don't know if it is applicable to Slackware. Hope it helps somehow

Yes, I'll try this. Thanks.

Out of curiosity I just unpacked the rpm package…
$ rpm2cpio Vivaldi_TP_1.0.83.38-1.x86_64.rpm | cpio -idmv ```…and looked at the content. I seems one can actually use this in a portable fashion. All you need to do is enter opt/vivaldi/ and...``` # chmod 4755 vivaldi-sandbox && chmod +s vivaldi-sandbox ```…and...
chown root:root vivaldi-sandbox
After that, just call ./vivaldi and it works. Interesting.

I just used rpm2tgz and installed the resulting package. Worked like a charm, since there's nothing rpm-distro-specific in the package.

In the case of Arch Linux/Manjaro Linux, the package is in AUR.
I installed it with:
$ yaourt -S vivaldi
