Swipe to navigate back and forward does not work in version 1.6.682.3
-
There's an important bug (at least for me) in Snapshot 1.6.682.3:
Swipe to navigate back and forward with the Magic Mouse does not work.
Please fix this in the next version.
Thanks. -
@Tee-Cee Confirmed, started failing for me in the same version.
-
And the problem is also present in the 1.5.658.56 stable version.
-
The problem remains in Snapshot 1.6.687.3.
Please fix this! -
One more Snapshot (1.6.689.13) and still no solution in sight.
The issue remains. For how long? -
Have you at least reported it in the bugreports?
-
@iAN-CooG
Thanks for the suggestion. That's a good idea.
But I always hope that some forum administrator reads these posts and then reports the bugs to the developers. -
they're not here to do also your part
-
@Tee-Cee - Bugs have to be reported from the machine where they occur, because environmental factors can be important.

@iAN-CooG
Dear fellow:
I came here IN PEACE to report a bug. I have already thanked you for your suggestion. And even classified it as a good idea. Please don't try to treat me as an idiot (which I'm not for sure).
I had already posted here another bug before and an administrator replied saying that he had created a bug report (with a specific number) so that the developers could be aware of it. So, there're really here to do their part too.
Peace, O.K.? I'm never disrespectful, insolent or aggressive to anyone. And I always like to be treated the same way.
Best regards. And thank you once again for your idea. -
We want to encourage people to report and to try to solve problems here.
We do not want to encourage people to call upon mods or admins to report bugs for them, since to file a bug report at the bugreporter is far and away the better method. It gives the developers a) immediate notice of the bug, b) context of platform, version and other environmental factors, and c) a trackable way to compare and coordinate the report with other reports. None of these preferred factors is created by commenting here, BUT by commenting here you can get immediate help from other users, mods, and the occasional admin.
I, personally, may be the only person in the world who actually tries to read every comment posted here in English. Even reading them all, there is no way under the sun I can help with or respond to them all.
Under NO circumstances expect a quick reaction from a developer, or in the code of the software, to something posted in the forums (by "quick," I mean within a month or two).
Once in a while, a mod, a staffer, or a community admin may, out of a sense of generosity or nothing better to do at the moment, report a bug for a user on the forums. We don't want to encourage anyone to expect this. We will help all we can within the time limitations of our days, but the forum is not the primary way in which users and developers interact.
@Tee-cee - thanks again for your participation!

@Ayespy
Yes, I agree. May be it's somehow strange that you post in a Mac forum from a Windows machine.
(Just kidding...) -
@Tee-Cee - perhaps it is strange. I do not navigate to forum categories. I navigate to "unread" comments from the entire forum each time I visit. I don't use a Mac, but I monitor Mac problems and can often help with them or at least inform a user what the status is on them.

@Ayespy
I wrote that just for fun. Please don't take it seriously. -

Whenever I've seen this happen, it is after the bug has been reproduced and so the guideline of posting from a machine where the problem occurs still holds true.
And I'm posting in MAC forum from a Linux machine
