How to disable form fill remembering text?

Hi. How can I disable feature about remember typed text in input fields in Vivaldi? In vivaldi://settings is nowhere specific possibility. I don't want this feature, most of time I get only useless "whispering". Thanks.

you can try this link to change settings:
chrome://settings/search#autofillThere you can uncheck / modify setting Enable Autofill to fill out web forms in single click. I also disable there annoying asking to save password on every page all the time (Offer to save your web passwords), because I use KeePass for that, never browser or any other way to remember passwords. It's much safer that way, and also global concept for my PC.

This settings (chrome://settings/search#autofill) works in Chrome, in Vivaldi I got only info about "Nothing found" (1.0.435.42 64bit - I don't risk snapshots
).Thanks for No History extension tip - but I use my browsing history, I only want to do not record/remember text entered in input fields.

It works perfectly here, in Win 10. Did you have a typo?
What do you find at chrome://settings/search#pass ? If nothing, there's something wrong with your installation.

I have Czech translation of Vivaldi
With "chrome://settings/search#autofill" I see only:[attachment=3310]Schránka02.png[/attachment]
But "chrome://settings/search#pass" works - I get classic Chrome settings for:
- "Activate autofill and web forms via one-click" (or what is it in English )
- Password manager
So I deactivate "Activate autofilll" feature.

sure basically it's internal link that finds some keyword in settings of Chromium/Chrome. These are not accessible standard way through GUI in Vivaldi.
So you can use it like this "chrome://settings/search#keyword". So in Czech you can use:
chrome://settings/search#vyplňovánÃAlso then you can see this word is marked. But sure it's true that even in Czech language pass can be found, as password settings is still called "settings/passwords".
PS: It's always better to use native/browser setting than extension if it's possible. Sure I use extensions, but only when there's some additional functionality I can't get by browser itself.

Yes, thanks, "chrome://settings/search#vyplňovánÃ" works fine. I try deactive "Active autofill…" in Passwords and Forms section and nothing is remembered now.
Many of basic features/menu items from Chrome are still not be in Vivaldi.

100% agreed - I am also waiting for the Opera 12-Feature "Tools/Preferences/Forms" in Vivaldi!! Can anybody give me feedback if this is already in the ToDo-List? Any idea if/when this will be implemented? Thanks!

@stealth789 Thank you very much for this. I had known about the ability to get to some of these pages, but couldn't get to this specific one. The trick is the html anchor (#autofill) which prevents the browser from redirecting to vivaldi://settings/search and loading Vivaldi's custom UI.
For these pages that I find useful, I have created a folder in my Speed Dial to house them. Like I have Vivaldi set to not accept cookies, however the Vivaldi UI doesn't expose the ability to create exceptions allowing certain sites that I approve to set cookies. So I also have vivaldi://settings/contentExceptions#cookies as one of my pages in that Speed Dial folder. This allows me to set an exception when I go to a new website that requires cookies and I approve of it.
Ideally, Vivaldi would expose this dialog in its settings UI where you have the radio button choosing how you want Vivaldi to handle cookies. There should be a button to launch this dialog for the user to enter their exceptions. For now, this works for me and I am able to lock down Vivaldi as much as I want to.
Thanks very much to the Vivaldi team for stepping up and building this browser.

@craftbrewmaster Though you can get to it easily by clicking the badge icon for any site and then clicking the "site settings" link. There you'll find exceptions for cookies and everything else.

@rseiler awesome! Thank you very much for that. That is a much easier method that I had set up. When I first installed Vivaldi, I went through that UI and entered ~300 [*.]example.com root domain exceptions. So for most of my browsing I shouldn't need to add exceptions to accept cookies, but it still happens that I will come across a site that requires cookies and I'm willing to accept them. Now, I just click the badge/name to the left of the address and the site settings link will pop up a new window where I can click the Manage Exceptions button. Perfect! I'm so happy this browser exists. After just a few days of use, I have already made it my default browser. I'll want to use it for a month or so before I start recommending it to friends and family, but so far it looks like this is the browser I've been searching for since 2013/4. You know, when Opera went Chrome.

Hi, I'm trying to locate where to disable this as well, but I can't find it.
chrome://settings/search#autofill doesn't work because I have a Norwegian version, and using the Norwegian word, it suggests autofill for passwords, payment methods or addresses. But it's just random search words that appear in many forms on different websites that appear; none of these which are stored under these three categories.

I don't think, that you didn't find it because you use the norwegian settings, trychrome://settings/addresses
