Bookmark manager: separate folder tree
-
The thing that annoy me with vivaldi's bookmark manager is the way it organize bookmark. The bookmark manager of chrome and opera classic work well for me because it's well structured with folder and links are separated
For example, if there's a long list of links. For example, both folder A and B have 100 links each so it will take a lot of scrolling, if now I am in the middle of folder A and I want to go to folder B then I must either sroll upward to close folder A or continue downward to get to folder B
In Chrome and Opera, they are organized in the way that folder tree is separated from links so I can change folder quicker and still knowing what folder I currently in
Chrome bookmark manager for example
Addtionally, Is there anyway to change the folder's icon and its font? -

Splitting the folders from the bookmark is the reason O12 had a split bookmark panel (folders above, the bookmark bellow). It was perfect. And I am hoping Vivaldi will implement that.
I don't want to see the style you show because the content area holds the bookmarks and replaces page content.

A probably simply to program solution to the problem and helpful for those who don't want to use up too much space for bookmarks:
Add "Close this folder" to the already existing "Close all folders" and "Open all folders" in the context menu for bookmarks. -
I don't think "Close all folder" is good. Since there are sub-folder, if all is closed then it'll take time to go to sub-folder again. About "Close this folder", how is it possible. I mean how to know which is "this" folder

That's quite simple. I am not talking about an entry in a menu at the top, but an entry in the context menu. You right-click a bookmark, click "Close this folder" and the folder the bookmark is in is closed.

I would like keep current way in the side panel Bookmarks, but in the fullscreen one (ctrl+b) would be maybe better way suggested here. It will works like email client and it is easier to orient in the folders when you don't seen all the pages inside of it.
