i didn't report it as a separate issue. i'm just wondering if the fix was tested against multiple letter bookmark nicknames too.

@TsunamiZ I do not see a issue for longer nicks. And there was no such bug report in tracker.

you really do have your responses mismatched in your previous post, and you should swap them so it makes sense.
I already explained, I think it's you who is confused. I can't confirm the bug that you reported. I can however confirm VB-106242.

@RasheedHolland Yes, for a 6.8 version it is was closed as fixed.
//edit: I hope it can be backported to 6.7 Stable, but i have no knowledge about this.BTW, when is this Vivaldi 6.8 version coming out?

OK thanks, weird that it takes so long to release it, because lately they have been quite busy with new versions of 6.7, but it was mostly because of Chromium security holes.

Vivaldi Devs have to investigate some serious issues before 6.8 will get into Stable channel.

I updated from 6.5 to 6.8 today and none of my bookmark nicknames are working, regardless of length. The same thing happened to me a couple of updates ago. FWIW, I have some different setting than OP:
settings >
address auto-complete > enabled = off
drop-down menu > show drop-down when typing = off
drop-down menu priority
1st = bookmarks nicknames
2nd = bookmarks
This cluster of settings has been working for me.A semi-fix is to set address auto-complete to enabled. I dislike that feature, and want to be able to turn it off as soon as I can.

the bug has been fixed for me in version 6.8. but if you still experience the bug, you should report it here...
