@npro ha, yeah, i abandoned my silly attempts to learn bsd, several months ago. whilst i usually enjoy technical challenges & learning new stuff, i also know when my incompetence coefficient vastly exceeds the challenge at hand

Funfact: BSD got a installer GUI, so trouble with shell and installer scripts are less nasty.

UNIX was worse to maintain, i know from the 80ies and 90ies.
FreeBSD is sometimes like telling you NHSTFM (No Help Study The F.... Manuals).
