YouTube Fullscreen ceased to auto rotate to landscape on Fullscreen
-
I normally leave my phone in portrait mode and it would go to landscape when I'd click the Fullscreen button on YouTube using mobile mode. It used to do it, even without the phones auto rotate activated, but it stopped and I don't know how to set it back
Am using Samsung A02s and Latest Vivaldi version on Google play -
@sethy89
Hi, I can confirm this on:
Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
MIUI 13
Android 12
Vivaldi 6.5.3217.122 StableThis can happen if you set the Android font size different to default and/or if you use Accessibility for installed/downloaded apps.
Try to set a flag:
Openchrome://flags
Search forAccessibility Page Zoom
Disable it, restart Vivaldi.Cheers, mib
EDIT: I cant reproduce this on my internal Vivaldi 6.6 build, we wait for the next stable.
It update the Chromium version from 120 to 122. -
My youtube got messed up yesterday too.
And this happens on both vivialdi and another browser. Probably an Android or YouTube issue.
Flags setting above didn't fix the problem.
Samsung A40
Android 11 -
Write something here too to get this thing going.

@Voko6503
Ah OK, this is the one I don't have installed.
Samsung browser 23 is based on Chromium 115, hm. -
Please can someone find a solution for this?
-
@Voko6503
Hi, as I mention, I cant reproduce this in my internal daily build but in stable and the latest snapshot.
We are close to Vivaldi 6.6, if it is not fixed then I ask a Android developer directly.Cheers, mib
-
Thank u so much
What do u mean with;
internal daily build?
@mib2berlin -
@Voko6503
I am a Vivaldi volunteer tester and can get daily builds of the latest development version of Vivaldi to find new bugs and/or verify existing bugs are really fixed.
At least on my devices.
Regular user can install the snapshot (Beta) to do the same before a new stable release is published.
The snapshot are published 3-4 times a month.Cheers, mib

@Voko6503
Nobody knows exactly, we got a snapshot today titled "Getting there", so I hope next week. -
I think i got an update today.
Still same issue. -
@Voko6503
Hrm, I maybe got the whole thread wrong.
Auto rotate doesn't work in Firefox, Brave and Opera.
If I go to full screen it rotate if I rotate the device in Vivaldi.
Should the view rotate before you rotate the device?
It does so in the Youtube app, for example.Cheers, mib

@bluesz
Oh sorry, was just a quick test, you are correct.
I fear this is a new "feature" from the Chromium developers, Edge does the same. -

Firefox doesnt support tab-row thats why im using vivaldi.
I may be forced to use firefox soon.
