Block trackers and ads disables itself

I have been noticing that the block trackers and ads shield in the address bar becomes crossed every now and then and setting changes to no blocking. When I click to enable it does not work and I have to restart vivladi multiple times to renable it. Even my default setting gets changed to no blocking

Using vivladi 6.5 on android 9 but it happend before in 6.4 aswell.

Not sure why it is happening and it's hard to catch cause it happens randomly.

Wondering if others are noticing this issues aswell?

I am experiencing the same and found a way to make it work when the ad blocking/tracking is turned off. Try to reproduce this although it's quite cumbersome:

when the ad blocking/tracking is off, open the vivaldi settings and head to the ad blocking/tracking section
turn the blocking on; trying to turn it on at this point does not yet make any difference because the lists of sources (for tracking and ad blocking) are empty
open either one of the lists of sources and then open help by tapping on the question mark at the top right corner
as soon as the help page loads, return back to vivaldi settings and quit the list of sources you were at
reopen either list of sources and it should be populated now, with some items selected as they were when the blocking worked properly
quitting the vivaldi settings and reloading the page you were previously at now seems to properly block what was selected

I made a short screen vid in case you get lost following the steps, which I will try to upload some place and share.

Hi, there is a bug report in the internal bug tracker about this issue. I never could reproduce it on my devices.

I've had that too.
Actually, this week also.

The BR Title may be not so clear.

Is the AdBlocker which gets stuck, either disabled or enabled and has to be changed from Settings and restart V.

Yeah, this title is bad but the the user description of the bug is OK, with a screen cast and now with a link to this thread.

Happened to me multiple times, but only on my tablet (Samsung Galaxy S9 FE Tab with Android 14), never on my mobile (Pixel 6a with Calyx OS Android 14).
I realized, that all AdBlocker lists and all tracker lists were gone. I didn't delete them!
Only way to get them back is to delete all Vivaldi application data via Android app settings.
