Tab reloads on screen unlock
-
Hello,
New user here (Windows+Android), very happy with Vivaldi so far. There's just this one thing that's happening on my Android phone, and it has disturbed my usual workflow a couple of different times: If I lock my screen, then unlock it and go back to Vivaldi, it seems to (usually, but not every single time) refresh the tab.
If I partially fill out a form on a webpage, for example, then lock and unlock, it refreshes and I lose all my form data. This is frustrating.I have looked through the settings and gone through the usual troubleshooting steps (closing the app, updating, rebooting, etc.) to no avail. Is this a bug, a feature, or did I miss a setting?
Thanks! -

Hi, I make a quick test with this example page:https://formsmarts.com/html-form-example
No matter if I am on this tab or a different one the form data is still there after lock/unlock my mobile.

Hello,
Thank you for the quick reply. I tried that form and it also works for me. Interesting....
Can you try this one for me please?
https://www.w3schools.com/html/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_introType some random text into the code window, then try the lock/unlock, and see if it disappears.
Thank you! -
@dsanderling
Are you sure this is the correct link, it is only simle html code. -
@mib2berlin
Yes, what I mean is, if you write some text (code) on the left side, like if you're trying to do that html tutorial.. and then you lock your phone and unlock it, you would hope that your work wouldn't be lost. But for me, it does go away. -
@dsanderling
Hm, for me it stay, typing some nonsense text.
No idea why this is not the same for you.
We need another user for testing this.
Please add your Vivaldi, Android version and your device. -
@mib2berlin
Interesting! Ok, thank you. I appreciate your looking into it.device: OnePlus 8 5G

Another update from me:
I've been playing around with different things, and it seems that using a Live Wallpaper increases the chances of this happening. Right now I have a static image wallpaper and it seems to not be causing the refresh.
