Anyone else with this problem: Ctrl+D creates a doubled bookmark?
-
I just decided to try making a bookmark with the good old shortcut Ctrl+D and it created a doubled bookmark of the same thing. Anyone else with this problem? I need to know if it's a bug before making this topic a bug report.
-
I bookmarked this page with Ctrl D, but got only one bookmark.
-
I was bookmarking World of Tanks EU forum and it created two bookmarks of the same thing. I pressed Ctrl+D, entered a prefered name for the bookmarked and when I went to Bookmarks menu, there were two bookmarks of the same thing.
Maybe it's related to a specific site? -
I cannot reproduce it there either. Which snapshot are you using?

I have to agree if you hit [ENTER]. Reported as BUG with VB-14486 in march.
My personal Workaround:
- Use the mouse and click on "Save" –> You will get one bookmark,
Please write a bug report to push the problem.
Windows 7 Pro - Vivaldi Standalone 1.3.544.25 (Entwickler-Build) (32-Bit)
-
Please try again with the latest build: Snapshot 1.3.551.13
-
Using latest stable version and it's not causing me that problem… it only creates 1 bookmark
ãctually clicking "save" does not create the duplicated bookmark, but clicking enter as mottenmouse said, it does create duplicated bookmarks.
I am using v1.2.490.43 () 32 bits, stable version. -
@Pesala: On a fresh 1.3.551.13 installation I bookmarked this page, please find attached the double bookmark
Updating my 1.3.544.25 installation is temporarily not possible due to an updating error.

The recipe has to be precise or it won't be reproducible.
[ol]
- Ctrl D
- Enter
[/ol]
Or:
[ol]
- Ctrl D
- Click on Bookmark Name field, or tab to it, and type a Bookmark Name
- Press Enter
[/ol]
If you click on save, or select a bookmark folder, then press Enter, a duplicate bookmark is not created.

In my case I did select a folder for the bookmark but I didn't mention it cuz I didn't think it was relevant.
