Recently closed tabs reopening after closing the app

Recently whenever I close the app, any recently closed tabs reopen the next time I open the app again. Essentially right now I can't open any new tabs because they'll effectively be open forever. Anyone else noticing this behavior?

Thanks, but that's a different issue. That person wants to open Vivaldi to a fresh slate every time (that's my understanding at least) where no past tabs are left open.
I, on the other hand, want to keep all of my tabs open in the background - but the issue is that if I close a tab before closing the app, when I open the app again the next time, that recently closed tab will be open again.

Hm, I close tabs all day and they never come back but I am on Android 12. Some issues/bug are Android 13 only.

Yeah it's only a recent issue, I've been using Vivaldi for years without issue, and I've been on Android 13 for however long without issue either. I was just waiting to see if there was anybody else noticing something similar before putting in a bug report.

@Lord_Bobbymort I can confirm. I too am seeing this issue in Android 13. When I close a tab, close the browser, and reopen the browser, the tab is back. I can consistently make it work by opening a new tab after closing the previous one. Regardless, it is not expected behavior. Have you submitted a bug report?
Update: I can confirm that the issue isn't present in Vivaldi Snapshot as of 06/06/2023.

In sync disable history, open tabs. It's the reason when you reopen vivaldi after closing the previously opened tabs get reopened.
