How to block Popup pages?

Can't find the option. Some services launch advert pages when you click in a search field - common problem. Other browsers kill it well. But here? Can't find the option in settings. thanks:)

However, if browser was hijacked by an adware (I hope no), consider a valid adblocker+scriptblocker+a fulll scan.
As last resource, you can try to backup all your bookmarks, and do a profile restore.

chrome://settings/content. leads to standard settings page which I can get to by menu –> tools --> settings..
So where is that switch?

Here on vivaldi 1.3 both chrome:// and vivaldi:// open the same chromium content page

However, the link with chrome:// should open a "chrome-like" setting page.
The vivaldi settings (menu > tools > settings) hasn't a native option for popup yet.

I had problem with adtabs too, even with popup blocking enabling.
I use umatrix script blocker for that (seems that some nasty script open them).

Which Vivaldi version?
vivaldi://settings/content - Vivaldi 1.3
chrome://settings/content - Vivaldi 1.2 and Vivaldi 1.3

Alternative - for Vivaldi 1.0 and 1.1 try
chrome://settings/search#pop-up

Then click on "content" button and scroll down to Pop-ups

chrome://settings/content does not take one to any Vivaldi page in any version of Vivaldi. It only does that if you place a period (.) at the end of it. Don't do that.

I did not say that it does! I said that it gives access to the page where the pop-up setting can be set either "Allow" or "Do Not Allow"

In V1.2 it just opens the same page as File/Tools/Settings (or Alt-P)

Therefore I provided link(s) to the chrome page which DOES provide that setting.

It would appear you have a curious version of Vivaldi 1.3 or at least an uncommon one. Here, on Windows 10, Vivaldi://settings/content in 1.3.519.25 takes me to the general Vivaldi settings page, which has no setting for popups.

Chrome://settings/content takes you to a page that has the setting, but it's already pre-set to block all popups in my case. So I'm not sure what one can gain there.

We're on the same page, but your version would appear to be unique.

As you say, strange, using 64 bit versions of both Windows 10 and 1.3.519.25; vivaldi://settings/content takes me to the chromium page and after scrolling a little

Ayespy - thank you. With your help I've got to the page.
And certainly, the "do not allow any site to show pop-ups" was already set.
That means Vivaldi is not blocking new windows as good as Opera or Firefox yet.

I'll willingly wait for a better implementation.
