Google calendar all-day events created on wrong date
-
I am having problem when I use Vivaldi calendar to create all-day events in Google calendar. Events are often (maybe always) synced to wrong date. Most often it is synced to day before.
For example, I create all-day event in Vivaldi to Monday. I can see it on Monday in Vivaldi - everything seems correct. But when I look to calendar app on phone or to Google Calendar web page, event is actually on Sunday. So I change date to Monday in Google Calendar. It is fixed in mobile app and remains unchanged in Vivaldi calendar.
But there is not always just one day lag. Today I found that event created on 09/02/2023 in Vivaldi was synced to 15/02/2023.
There is no problem with events containing from-to time. Only all-day events. And only with events created in Vivaldi calendar. Events created in other apps are ok, even in Vivaldi calendar.
Has anyone experienced same problem? Do you have any ideas how to fix it?
Thank you.
Vivaldi version: 5.6.2867.62

@ondravojta
Hi, there was a bug fix but for events:
[Calendar] Wrong due date set for Google Task (VB-93549)
I cant reproduce your issue for an all day event in snapshot 5.7, so I guess it is fixed in the next stable 5.7.Cheers, mib

@ondravojta @mib2berlin Unfortunately it is not fixed in 5.7. Any All Day event straddles two days in monthly calendar here. There is definitely a bug.

Ah, this depends on your setting of day start and end.
If you set it to 00.00 it swap over to the next day, set to 23.00 it stay in one day.No idea if this is a bug, for me a day ends at 00.00 H but in a calendar the last event is 23.59 H.
Makes this any sense? For me not really.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin I wish that was the answer. My day goes from 6:00-20:00

@jessencan
The bug was fixed 6 month ago but it cant fix already connected calendars.
The developer comment:
"It will not automatically fix broken data, affected online calendar accounts will have to be removed and readded to fix it."
It should not be a problem to readd a calendar, it simply load all data again.Cheers, mib
