Bookmarks: "Open in [New/Background] Tab" has wrong behaviour
-
Right-clicking a bookmark folder and selecting "Open in [New/Background] Tab" ought to open the items at the bottom level of that specific folder (going by O12 standards, and common sense), but instead it seems to do a depth-first search and opens the first 20 things it finds. This is bad behaviour, because a) it completely breaks the functionality of bookmark folders, and b) the 20 item limit is weird. Might we add this to the to-fix list?

Not sure about A
But B is customizable, providing you manage to install a recent snapshot and not an old version.
-
Customizable, how? I can't find anything in the Preferences (or maybe I'm just blind)?

@itchy:
On a related note. How do you stop multiple tabs from 'scrunching up' in the tab bar (tabs getting progressively smaller)? Is there a way to 'release them' and have them strung out in a line as in Firefox?
I don't think it is related to this topic at all, but your only options at the moment are to stack tabs, pin tabs, or open new windows.

@Gwen-Dragon:
Change it
Settings -> Bookmarks -> Confirm opening bookmarks over Maximum of [20]I am confused: I have no such setting available. I confirmed I'm on the latest build (via Help -> Check for updates). Here's what my settings page for bookmarks looks like: http://imgur.com/kYXtY9Y

The latest version is 1.2.485.14, available here: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/

All right, that fixes the tab limit. Might want to look into the "check for updates" function not working, though.

There are two update streams. You were on the "Stable" stream, and now that you have installed a snapshot, you are on the "Snapshot" stream. This means you will now only get snapshots, not stable versions. You can switch back and forth between these streams without difficulty, by keeping an eye on new blog posts. Or, you can install both versions separately on the same machine, and one will update to snapshots and the other will update to Stable.
