Less then 24 hours and already broken.

I installed the 1.1 version last night and by morning I am getting blank pages. Bing results are blank, wikipedia is blank, etc. Seriously, right out of the gate and Vivaldi is screwed up? If I have to do some temporary workaround to remove this unwanted feature, I suppose I have no choice than do just that or use another browser that doesn't do this. I don't need to make changes in Opera, Chromium, or Firefox to avoid this issue as i have never encountered it before. How does stuff like this get released?

What about asking politely instead of adding not useful and not respectful comments?
If you need help, start sharing what linux are you using, which vivaldi is affected and so on.
Your problem looks like just a corrupted profile, which can be caused by a lot of different cause, starting from a filesystem or hdd error.
So I suggest to start fscking your FS, and then deleting your Vivaldi user profile and check if the problem is fixed.

I already indicated version 1.1
As for whether my comment was respectful or not,my question was valid, and my comment was clearly not disrespectful.

I mentioned not having this issue other browsers. Your logic is to fsck my system? HDD error? Kind of a shotgun approach. Having to delete my Vivaldi profile within one day is not exactly a great example of stability.
I use Linux Mint. It runs great, including all he browser I have installed.

Just for the record, I have version 1.1.453.59 (Stable channel) (64-bit) running under Linux Mint 17.3 and have no issues with Vivaldi.
It would help if you could give us some details of your system so that we can try and find out what is causing your issue.

Su what do you wish to do to fix your problem ? Wait for a miracle or what?
There is clearly a problem on your setup which would be better to understand, mainly for you, but also for Vivaldi and the other readers.
And blaming has never helped to fix any problem, IT related or not.
Your logic is to fsck my system? HDD error?
My logic is the logic of a person used to fix IT problems since 1982, and the logic of a Linux user since 1996 or so, and the logic of a Vivaldi user (and betatester) since the day one
Could be the wrong logic. Nobody is perfect after all.
Now my logic tells me that given I haven't faced any major problem in 1+ year of constant usage, and given there are very few reports of situations like yours,my logic tells that the problem comes likely from your PC/OS.
I said likely, not surely, given I'm just a technician not a clairvoyant.
Kind of a shotgun approach.
I think you are somewhat confused about that definition.
"Format and reinstall" is a shotgun approach, trying to fix something is the exact antimatter of that.
As for profile deletion, I suggested to delete it and not to rename it, just because you are telling Vivaldi was installed just dince the day before, so I assume you have nothing to loose.
Having to delete my Vivaldi profile within one day is not exactly a great example of stability.
Again this is a "conclusion" based on NOTHING, you have no idea about what happened, you have no idea if the problem was from vivaldi itself or from your broken FS, faulty RAM, overheated CPU or whatever.
I use Linux Mint. It runs great, including all he browser I have installed.
"I use mint" means very little. W/O providing a decent amount of infos.
Which Mint, which kernel, which architecture?
Are you using the default ext4 or some other FS?
Which vivaldi are you using? x86 or x64
And so on.
That's a good way to ask for help from other users.

Thanks. I grabbed version 1.1.453.59-1

So I'm guessing it's still not working?
How did you install Vivaldi? Was it direct from the Vivaldi web site and you downloaded the appropriate .deb package? How did you install it?
You should still have the .deb package on your computer, so I would un-install the previous version then install the one you have just downlaoded.
sudo apt-get purge vivaldi ```or
sudo apt-get purge vivaldi-beta
should do it then install from the deb package
sudo dpkg -i filename.deb
replace filename with the actual name of the file.

I grabbed vivaldi-stable_1.1.453.59-1_amd64.deb from the website.
I have experienced the issue less frequently lately. Just in case, I will follow your suggestions and re-install it.
I have to admit that it is a refreshing change. I hope development grows and I can see newer versions in the near future.
Thanks for the advice.

sudo apt-get purge vivaldi ```or
sudo apt-get purge vivaldi-beta
the purge part does exactly what I've already suggested, cleans the profile.
So, sure it will work, but deleting manually the profile does exactly the same thing.
Manually you can also decide to rename, not delete, the profile folder and then re-import some relevant files, like the bookmarks, the history and so on.
Something that I din't even mentioned on this thread given we were talking about a one day old installation, but take it in account in case of profile corruptions happened in old (and plenty of data) installations.
