Show Passwords

 I am trying to get the the browser to show me "saved" passwords, but cannot see a way to enable this function. HELP!

You can only do it at this time through the underlying chromium. chrome://settings/search#pass

Thanks for sharing this, I have now disabled autofill and password saver.
I use Lastpass for my passwords on all device, which I have never had an issue with. This is preferable to having them stored unencrypted in the browser or by Google the marketing company who will sell my data to the highest bidder.

LastPass has been hacked (June of last year for one notable time), and it will be hacked again. Data stored "in the cloud" simply is not secure. It's not a matter of if, but when. KeePass is a better solution. It stores your data encrypted, locally. So, by the way, does Vivaldi (and Chrome, Chromium, Comodo Dragon, SRWare Iron, SlimJet et al) . You cannot open and read your passwords stored in these browsers any other way than by using the same browser, same COPY of the browser, on the same machine, by the same user as the one that saved them. Yes, you can read them in the clear - but only if you use the same instance of the browser that stored them to do it, and only one at a time. They are encrypted with a multi-factor key - just to be clear.
But at least you have the option to handle your passwords as you please.
