Solved Facebook feed reloading rapidly

Same issue here. Has to use Edge instead for a better use.
-
I think I've found what causes the issue : I switched the Trackers manager to "None" on Facebook (the shield in the left of the url), and now no reload.
It might be a black list that contains a valuable cookie needed for Facebook.

Works ok on my end.

Bonjour

@darkwolf - Confirming that this resolves the issue for me.

@darkwolf Same here. Let's hope for a fix that enables us to resume blocking.

That's it!! Thank you, darkwolf. Hope Vivaldi fix this issue though, so that we can be secure on facebook as well.

@ElodieBz Bonjour Elodie, essaye ma solution plus haut avec la mise en veille de l'anti-traçage de Vivaldi (peitit bouclier à gauche de l'url Facebook).

Just to confirm the block trackers to off fixed the problem, I had to return to Opera to view Facebook.
Fortunately I have Facebook Purity installed so another level of blocking ads, and preventing unwanted notifications and suggestions. -
This started a couple of days ago. Posts on the Wall randomly disappear. The scroll bar jerks about and changes in size, indicating items coming and going on the Wall. Items can disappear whilst being read.
Same problem on two different machines running Vivaldi. (Different versions of Vivaldi. One running Win10, the other Win8). Problems persist when using the latest Vivaldi update.
Problem does not seem to be there when using another browser (Edge). -
No, it's still doing it. Can it be my new router? I see the jumping about happening on other websites too.

@Thot
"Access denied" to the page you link to. -
After the latest update 5.3.2679.61 my Facebook news feed has become unusable. As I scroll down the page it jumps irregularly and rapidly as new items are loaded and dropped. I thought it was a problem with Facebook but could not find any way to solve it. Then I tried logging in with Edge and it worked fine. Also firefox was fine with the Facebook news feed. The problem only happens with Vivaldi. I tried installing a page refresh extension but that made no difference. I uninstalled all extensions from Vivaldi, restarted Vivaldi and the problem with Facebook continues. Is anyone else having this problem with Vivaldi?

@RichardHC
Hi, there are many posts about the last two days.
Try to disable the Vivaldi add blocker on the page, use the shield icon in the address bar.
It seams Facebook change something and one of the blocker lists cause this.Cheers, mib

It seems there is an FB html meta tag now which forces a refresh of the page. It's making the Vivaldi+FB combination almost unusable. I'm also looking for a way to block these automatic refreshes..
Here is a discussion of how to turn it off in other browsers: https://www.techwalla.com/articles/how-to-stop-auto-refresh-in-facebook -
@iwaldner
Hi, I don´t use Facebook but you can check:

Disable default or customise for Facebook.Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin YES!!! Worked perfectly after I disabled the add blocker. Thanks very much.
