Drag and Drop links from one tab to another in Tile Mode
-
Hello, I have an idea, when I open two tabs in TIle Mode and see them both, I want to be able to take link from one tab and drop it on another, so I can quickly go through some sites without switching tabs. Right now it's opening another new tab with this link and switching there, seems like a bug. Can you please change the behaviour of tile window where link can be dropable from one to another tab. I can give you example where it's very useful: When I going to some website, NEWS for example, I want to open main tab and then make it tile and on second tab I want to drop links there and read articles and still keep main site open wihtout going Back in history or opening and readying new tab and then closing and opening another article again. It's such a great idea, please make it! Please make a vote, who want to have this feature or send it to Vivaldi. Thank you!

Thank you for your suggestion. It sounds doable, but how far up on our to-do list it should be is another story But it is now on the list.

I cannot seem to get drag and dropping links to work in tile mode or even between regular tabs and windows which works fine in all other browsers(even IE not that I'd ever use that). I need this functionality at the very least from tab to tab and window to window if not also when using tiles in order to be able to use this browser for work. This is actually extremely important for anyone using any websites that use primary and secondary tabs. Just to clarify a secondary tab is a tab nested within the actual page of the other tab. In the case of Salesforce.com you can drag and drop links from your work queue onto another page and it opens the link as a secondary tab allowing you to keep things organized while working on several cases at once. I will include a redacted picture explaining the use case.
The tile feature would be extremely powerful in this situation because I could drag my work to specific tiles to keep similar cases grouped together and/or keep the case I'm actively focusing on in it's own tile and then move it back to the backlog tile once I've done what I can on it. Even more so if at some point you're able to add more flexible/interactive tile size adjustment or rearrangement. ie. Allowing tiles to snap to fill the right side or bottom left corner of a window or make a tile an extremely thin tall mobile page etc.
I know you stated this is not very high up on your list of things to fix, but I work for a company that employs several thousands of engineers within our services department and other business units. If you can fully develop this functionality this would immediately make your browser the most powerful browser for the majority of those engineers as well as sales and other departments. Obviously, only a fraction would switch initially but everyone on my specific team was really excited about it until we realized this didn't work. Not to mention we're far from the only company that uses Salesforce.

Yes I can confirm you cannot drag links right now, it works with bugs or not working at all, also it doesn't have any visual representation while you dragging, you just have to remember you dragging link. it won't show you any box with link with mouse cursor.

It works fine here, when dragging from right tab to left tab, but not vice versa. It also show an indication of what will happen with a no-entry sign on the current tab, but a + sign on the destination tab. The link opens in the destination tab, it does not open another tab.
