... in which i atheist-"prayed" that my fellow downunderers would finally vote for morality, science & competence. Gotta say, atm i am over the moon; not only have the evil fascists been cut to shreds, but we've got record numbers of incoming women & First Nations peeps, & so much to now look forward to in policies based on decency & inclusion, not corruption & meanness.

@guigirl Technically, I don't have any Snapshots.. Since Snapshot is the name of a particular update stream, I can't call the Sopranos builds Snapshots. Though given a sufficient amount of HDD/SSD storage it is easy to install any number of builds. One for each day of the week? Keeping them from updating is the harder part ...

@guigirl Well, I've not been active here as long as you have (yes we all know about the other one) but yeah it does get tiresome.

I guess the idea I get is that people just don't understand the web, browser or computers in general. To these people, computers must be magical, mysterious things, to be treated with the utmost respect otherwise they will explode and burn your house down (which come to think of it is actually a real possibility...)

Have you ever (I suppose not...) had a chance to glance at the Chrome support forums? Believe me, it's even worse. And the "advice" these poor clueless people get, it's shameful to call it "support". At least users here give generally good advice.

The worst is perhaps the kinds of user who knows just enough to have "ideas" and "opinions" on things but don't really understand how stuff actually works.

A nice vacation with lots of time away from any computing device helps though
