Ubuntu 14.04 not loading Vivaldi
-
Hi all I am hoping that there is an easy solution as to why Vivaldi will not launch even though it was installed through the Software Centre and I have an icon in the Dash area. Version is vivaldi-stable_1.0.435.42-1_i386.deb Installed Pepper-free, and have updated system. Chrome seems to run fine, but is warning me that it will not receive updates because this Linux system is no longer supported. (Not sure why but presume because I have a 32 bit version). Thanks in advance

Start trying to launch vivaldi from a terminal to see any relevant error
-
The error message is
[0415/202601:ERROR:nss_util.cc(98)] Failed to create /home/myname/.pki/nssdb directory.
Does this give any clues?
Thanks
Also got next time

If that's a fresh install the faster way is to delete the profile folder
/home/your-name/.config/vivaldi
Otherwise you can try deleting any SingletonLock and SingletonSocket inside it.

The vivaldi folder was locked to root so change permissions and deleted it as suggested.
When I ran vivaldi in terminal I got the following:
[3773:3773:0416/112247:ERROR:logging.h(813)] Failed to call method: org.freedesktop.DBus.ObjectManager.GetManagedObjects: object_path= /: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "GetManagedObjects" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.ObjectManager" doesn't exist[3773:3773:0416/112247:ERROR:logging.h(813)] Failed to call method: org.freedesktop.DBus.ObjectManager.GetManagedObjects: object_path= /: org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.UnknownMethod: Method "GetManagedObjects" with signature "" on interface "org.freedesktop.DBus.ObjectManager" doesn't exist
BUT Vivaldi has started up ! Went through the set up & closed it. Icon in Dash still doesn't start it up. Any more thoughts?
Thanks
