Privacy Settings are 'Missing' on this Option!
-
Hello There! The PRIVACY settings were found to be missing on the relevant option to forbid the Browser from prompting to save the Username & Password in an altogether manner! I would always like to Disable such an Option once & for all, & similarly the prompts for "Auto-suggest" & "Auto-Complete" requires a similar Inquiry as well! From where can we Disable the "Auto-suggest" & "Auto-Complete" on a Permanent basis? Help in this regard will be sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

Type chrome://settings/search#password into the address bar and press enter; uncheck the option "offer to save your web passwords"

Hello werty8763!
Thank you so very much for the Correct Guidance! I appreciate! But, why have you kept it Hidden from the prying eyes?
Shouldn't this β a Very Vital Option-- be given a hassle-free access without testing the patience of the end Users!?Secondly, now since I have disabled both of the relevant options from -- chrome://settings/search#password; does that mean the same attributes have now been DISABLED for the Actual Chrome Browser as well? & Yes, have the same been applied to the other Chrome-based Browsers as well?
Please suggest.

1. I don't know; the vivaldi devs made it that way⦠
2. If you are asking if they have been disabled in vivaldi, the answer is yes... -

The Vivaldi UI has been written from scratch, not all settings are available (yet).
For those not available we have the "chrome://settings/search#" workaround. If you use that in Vivaldi, it will only affect that instance of Vivaldi.
It will not affect other browsers which may also be based on the chromium engine (Opera, Chrome etc) as they have their own setting configurations. -
Hello TbGbe!
But the 'Workarounds' do not commensurate well with the earlier claimβ- that this Browser is meant to adapt as per User's Choice & not the other way round!
Punching-in Weird URLs in the Address-Box brings a reminisce of Complex-Coding...you see!
Is the Browser meant for Geeks only? The Bare-minimum Universal Options must be given a go ahead for a hassle-free customization! Thanks.

Yes, I understand but this is "only" release 1.0
As it says in the Blog Announcement https://vivaldi.net/en-US/teamblog/102-vivaldi-finale-1-0Thank you for starting out on this journey with us.
Getting all configuration choices available in the UI is the target destination and more will become available as we keep travelling with Vivaldi.
Which options are considered "bare minimum" will be different for every user, if yours (or mine) are not here yet - we have to be patient a little longer

Hello TbGbe!
While do understand the 'Teething Troubles'!β¦.People would still like to allay their doubts over entrusting their Confidential Information (Usernames & Passwords) with a Newbie Browser!
Hence, those who instinctively Click on NEVER during the Memorization prompt, would always like to part ways with such frequent reminders through their Well-recognized UI option!
Therefore, Please-Please beseat the very option at its familiar destination i.e. Under PRIVACY settings asap.
Thank you for your Patience!

I have no doubt the developers have this on their "to do" list.
Given the small size of the team and the priority they have to give to "bug fixing", I do not know how long it be before we get to see it in the UIBut now that we have Release 1.0, hopefully a "complete" UI for Settings will not be too far off.
