Ctrl+w tab closing order
-
hello everyone, there's one really annoying usability issue I experience with Vivaldi: when I open multiple tabs, and then close them one-by-one using ctrl+w shortcut, most browsers close the tab and jump on tab on right (that way you can quickly browse the opened tabs without additional tab switching), but Vivaldi somehow "remembers" the order of the tabs opened (from oldest to latest), so after pressing ctrl+w, it always jumps onto oldest-opened tab, is there any settings I am missing, or is it a feature of Vivaldi which cannot be changed ? thx in advance

There might be an option that affects this in the settings, but I just want to say that there are plenty of people like me who vastly prefer that it works like this than what the other browsers do. Any browser that jumps from one tab to another the way you describe is unusable for me. I fully recognize that this is a valid use case and worthy of an optional setting, but copying some other browsers in this regard should not be the only option available.

I gotta disagree,
let's say I have vivaldi forums overview open, and just wanna browse topics,
it makes perfect sense to open tabs in a row from left to right, and so when I close a tab I jump automatically onto right one (which is the next one I opened)
and this way go through all from left to right, and finally end up on the overview tab on the very left, which I opened at first :silly: -

At the moment, it cannot be changed.
But has been asked for many times and I am sure is on Vivaldi's "work in progress" list.Ideally, as an option so multiple methods can be picked from.

Have a look at Snapshot 1.0.352.3

Well, you can copy if you activate "show full url" (Tools/Settings/Address Bar).
But the snapshots don't affect tab closing, only opening; so far  -
