cached net::ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT ???
-
I accidentally found that my browser blocks new youtube shorts videos(like that). I just get many ERR_BLOCKED_BY_CLIENT errors in console.
I disabled ALL my extensions, restart browser, cleared all cache/cookie/storage in dev tools, tried incognito - nothing helps. And only when I moved my profile directory($HOME/.config/vivaldi
) vivaldi started to play this vids.
So what I should to do to get it work in my main profile?

@hxss Hi, if you're getting blocked requests, something is blocking
Have you enabled the built-in adblocker and forgot? Have you enabled some special list sources?
Some extensions even need to be completely removed (not just disabled) to stop doing stuff.

Update: After a bit of investigating, testing in a clean profile of 5.0 with V adblocker enabled, default lists.
Turns out it's caused by the ABP anti-circumvention list, specifically this rule:
||googlevideo.com/videoplayback?*&ctier=*$xmlhttprequest,domain=www.youtube.com|m.youtube.com|music.youtube.com
Source: https://github.com/abp-filters/abp-filters-anti-cv/blob/master/mobile-anti-cv.txt
So for now I guess you can do one of these:
- Disable adblocker on YT, just block trackers
- Disable the ABP anti-circumvention list from sources
- Wait for the list to be updated (might be a long time)
- Report an issue on the Github
- Use uBlock Origin

@pathduck Hi, thanks. Found it in settings - when I disabled built-in ad blocking, video start immediately.
Are vivaldi would fix this issue with youtube? -
@hxss You can override adblocking per site, please read:
https://help.vivaldi.com/escritorio/privacidad/tracking-and-ad-blocking/So you don't have to turn off adblock for all sites, just YT, until this is fixed.

Vivaldi has no control over the blocker lists it uses. The lists are maintained by others. If a list causes issues the fastest way to get it fixed is to report an issue to the blocklist maintainers:
https://github.com/abp-filters/abp-filters-anti-cv/issuesEdit: Reported as: https://github.com/abp-filters/abp-filters-anti-cv/issues/750
Follow that issue for updates. -
