How to re-enable form field history?
-
Some time in the past I got severely annoyed by a feature that tried to fill as many form fields as possible when I selected a suggestion on a single form field. So I looked around and managed to turn off all of the form fill assistants except login/password credentials.
Now I'm looking to re-enable the part of form history/suggestions that lets me pick values that I've entered previously into fields with the same type/name. I just can't find it anymore - can someone give me some pointers here?
Still, I don't want Vivaldi (or any browser) to try and fill out complete forms for me. First of all I don't trust them to not fill in hidden fields (type=hidden or otherwise invisible) with data that I do not want to share. Secondly it often puts wrong values and misinterprets the forms. Finally, most of the time, I only want to fill the required fields only, not giving out "as much intel as possible" which seems to be the basic idea behind form fill assitants. I like field fill assistance, but not for whole forms.
I'd just like Vivaldi to suggest previous values on a single-field basis. Can I set it up that way?
Thanks!

@vertex Open
chrome://settings/addresses
and activate "Save and fill addresses". -
Ah, thank you @DoctorG !
Although it reads like the stuff I don't want, enabling it gave me back the field suggestions. I just hope Vivaldi won't start filling whole forms again
Ty again - looks like that was it.

@vertex Just try. If you dislike the behavior, you can disable again.
