Check version of plugins in vivaldi, tell us system and vivaldi version do you use and try to update flash player with new PPAPI from here. Disable also legacy NPAPI flash if any.

Also, update from Beta 3 to latest snapshot: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/

I am experiencing the same problem. I installed Vivaldi's beta 3 first, then upgraded to 1.0.430.3, basically to get Netflix working That worked great but the places I'm having a problem, similar to the OP I guess, is specifically with Flash streaming video on sites such as https://www.twitch.tv/
I followed Hadden89's advice and installed an up-to-date Flash Player from Adobe directly, and so in the plugins list that now reads "Adobe Flash Player - Version: 21,0,0,197". But still, white box instead of video. Flash is clearly present since if you disable the plugin you don't get the white box, you get the fallback message "No supported video backend available; Flash is not installed" (attached screen "disabled.jpg") but re-enable it and you're just back to white box (attached screen "enabled1.jpg"). It seems like a player is attempting to initialize as initial play controls are present on hover - but it's not getting there (attached screen "enabled2.jpg").
Hope this is useful. Let me know if you need more info.

Twitch.tv seems to work for me (tried a couple although the "Quantum Break" video seems to have been deleted).
I am using Windows 10 (64 bit).Assuming you have checked that you're using the PPAPI flash (and not NPAPI) as mentioned by Hadden89 the only other thing to check would be hardware acceleration:-
Enter :-
chrome://settings/search#accelNote: be sure to type chrome and NOT vivaldi as this is not available via Vivaldi UI (yet).
And try changing that setting then restart Vivaldi.

I'm as sure as I can be that I am using the NPAPI version, if it's as simple as the regular Flash install process. The only Flash plugin I can see is the up-to-date version I mentioned above. It doesn't specify PPAPI/NPAPI.

The "re-direct" is correct, it's just that you MUST enter chrome originally.
If you ARE using NPAPI flash - that is the problem!
You MUST use the PPAPI version - in Tools/Plugins : click on the "Details " link at upper right of page.
When installing from Adobe, be sure to request the "Chrome" version of the plug-in (and NOT the Firefox or Explorer version). -

Downloaded the wrong Flash version - my fault, I think the "it" (Italian) in Hadden's link threw me off a little as I changed that to "en", which redirected away from the "otherversions" URL. So I ended up downloading an up-to-date NPAPI version. Doh. Got correct version here⦠https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/ ...all good.

Glad you got it sorted
