Is the forum getting bigger with more new registrations and more guests? Against a general trend?
-
I have the impression that there have been significantly more new registrations (= mostly new Vivaldi users) in the forum recently than was usual.
It also seems to me that more guests are looking at the forum. Is this impression deceptive, or is it really the case?
Is there a forum statistic that you can see somewhere?

Yes. @ingolftopf is the 11471
Go to Users, pick up the newest member, type his name in one post and open it in a new tab, look at the top of the box only It's primitive, yes. -
Thank you

@guigirl let's not go there EVERY time, in some languages there are gendered words, in portoguese and italian user is masculine. End of topic for me.

@ingolftopf I'm sure some member of the team has server traffic stats. All I can tell you is that 43 new members joined in the last 24 hours, five more than yesterday - which seems like a very healthy pace to me. However picking a random date in history, 68 users joined on 20 Apr, 2016.
So maybe folks are just being more active these days.

@ayespy Thank you very much, these are good figures after all.
This goes against the trend that many forums are becoming smaller.
The mobile phone messengers with their groups/rooms are certainly also leading to this. But Vivaldi even has 3 rooms in IRC Messenger.
And hopefully soon the XMPP messenger "Vivaldi Chat". -

Is there objective evidence for this? It seems a bit surprising to me, but maybe it's more of the evil tentacles from farcebuck, twatter et al suffocating the space? ...
I have no proof.
But I hear and experience this in other forums, e.g. Linux forums.
It's nice if it's not like that here. -

'Only' for a browser.

There are currently 31.533 Vivaldi followers on Twitter.
On Mastodon 26, on Movim 1 (the better Facebook & Co based on XMPP).
This should change quickly. -
