FastStone Capture - FTP Functionality

Hello,

I am trying to find out if there is a way to disable FS Capture FTP functionality in Version 9.7. You might ask why I would like to disable this functionality. I am trying to make a case at my company so that we are allowed to purchase this product for our testing team and they have an issue with the FTP functionality as according to them, this poses a security and risk breach. Multiple emails to FS Capture requesting information on this and additional information needed from them to complete the purchase, have gone unresponded. I am not sure why a company that goes above and beyond to advertise their product, would have an issue responding to questions such as how much they would charge for sales taxes and what is their federal tax id. But I have not gotten response from them. I will still continue trying to go through with the purchase. If I could just know of a way to disable their FTP functionality. I would greatly appreciate any help or feedback. Thanks!

Because this forum gets a lot of irrelevant and strange posting from spammers who later return a couple days later to edit in their links.
Usually they never reply to questions, so asking for clarification is a good way to find out

Maybe a moderator can move it to a more appropriate category.

@doctorg If you read my question entirely, you will realize why I took on to posting on online forums, rather than continuously emailing [email protected] with no response... but thanks for trying to help.

If i were a Windows admin, i would block Ports 20 and 21 for program Faststone Capture exe file in Firewall. Can be done as a administrative rule for Windows Firewall.

And if i were a security admin i would forbid running a program, which has such bad support and documentation, in my company.

I was going to suggest something like the solution posted by DoctorG, but lack the experience of knowing the details of how to do it.

I have been using FastStone Capture for well over a decade, and it is one Shareware product that I actually registered, since I use it multiple times a day.

Back in 2007, support response was good, but not in recent years. I guess they just have too many users to deal with.

My previous two emails about problems recording audio played through the speakers fell on deaf ears. On the third time of asking, I did get a response to my email of 18/9/2021 on 27/9/2021, asking me if the microphone was enabled.
