LastPass borked on all my installs
-
Yes thank you jamster! I had tried uninstalling the extension and reinstalling version 3 Lastpass but not using the different vault interface switch. That is a good workaround. Thank you. I wonder if there are any security implications? I didn't see anything on the FAQ or Blog posts about the 4 upgrade. Seems to be just an interface modification and Logo thing.

This is being worked on as we speak

Another workaround while still using 4.0 is go to "My LastPass Vault", attempt to do something that you have set to require a password reprompt such as editing a site, and enter your password when prompted while checking the box not to reprompt for a specific amount of time. Then you can use LastPass 4.0 on sites as normal until the time expires.
Not quite as elegant as a true bug fix, but it'll do in the meantimeβ¦

In the last version of Vivaldi, I have a bug in the password remembering system. Not sure if this is connected to the LastPass issue (never used it), but let me just mention it here. The issue is β autofilling of the login-password fields works for a short time after Vivaldi is launched but then stops. I open a page where login and password were entered previously, but they just stay empty. I'm on Windows 10, Vivaldi 1.0.418.3.

Let us know then if it ever gets fixed so we can switch back to 4.0 .

Any update on a timeline for an actual fix to this issue? I see it's still present in RC1. Really hoping to move back to Vivaldi as my daily driver with 1.0 final, but this issue is a big one for me.

Because of this bug I am forced to reject Vivaldi LastPass is the center of the world. :S

LastPass now functions, however the 2-factor authentication prompt takes a long time to appear (30 seconds or so). This has persisted for many months, and is really the sole item keeping me from using Vivaldi full-time. Is this on the team's radar? If so, is there an ETA for a fix?
It occurs on all my installs (All are various flavors of Win10, and on 'normal' and 'snapshot' Vivaldi channels).
To replicate:
-Set your LastPass account to enable 2-factor authentication (I use Google Authenticator)
-Install LastPass extension
-Click the extension's button to log in. Enter your password.
-Wait somewhere on the order of 30 seconds, with no visual indication that your password was taken and 2FA is about to launch
-Finally the 2FA prompt comes up and can be filled out, completing the logon process. Thanks!
