Anyone having problems with tab switching order after closing a tab?
-
Is there any way to change the order of switching tabs after closing a tab? Currently no matter what I choose in settings always after closing a tab vivaldi switches to previously active tab which is incredibly unnerving. Basicly: option "cycle in tab order" under "tab features" is ignored, despite changing it it always behaving like "cycle in recently used order" is selected. Did anyone else noticed that?

There's no way to change that order right now. It always goes to most recently used tab. Tab SWITCHING order, that is, what order the tabs cycle through when you use the tab cycler, alt+tab, or scroll wheel, is the only thing that responds to the setting of recent vs tab order.

Thanks for clarifying this one, Ayespy. Indeed, when I checked with my Opera 12 there are two separate options for order of tabs after switching and after closing. Vivaldi is getting better and better and I hope this option will be added soon because I miss it sorely.

Next snapshot will have a more normal tab activation behavior in line with other browser, and with an option to fallback to the old behavior.

Much better behavior now, but simple "Activate next in line" is still missing. Hope it will show up soon.
