Frequent failure to start
-
Hi, I'm running Vivaldi as my browser in the office, but unfortunately I have an issue. On Technical Preview 4 (1.0.219.50) I often had to double-click the exe more than once to get Vivaldi started, but the Beta (1.0.303.52) behaves differently. The first few times I start the app, it crashes with an error message as below. Usually on the third attempt it succeeds. There's no pages open in the browser, just two speed dial tabs. I've checked the debug.log but this is full of lines that don't seem to relate to the error, such as "[0609/201754:ERROR:client_util.cc(239)] Could not find exported function RelaunchChromeBrowserWithNewCommandLineIfNeeded" Also considering it failed to start today 5/11, there's no entry in there with that stamp. When the browser is open, three instances of Vivaldi.exe run taking 322, 30 and 51 MB so I am not sure if this is 3 browser instances or child processes. I'm running on Windows 7 Enterprise SP1. Any suggestions at all as to what could cause this? Anyone have similar issues?

Vivaldi runs with multiple independent processes: three for the browser/background-page/GPU-proc, one for each extension, and one for each tab. When it starts up normally, Vivaldi will currently always open a speed dial tab, as well as a separate tab if you've specified a home page (or multiple separate tabs if you're starting up using a previous multi-tab session). If you can get Vivaldi to open, what names/sizes does its internal Task Manager (Tools > Task Manager) show for running processes?
