How To Enable/Turn On 2-Level Tab Stacking- Can Anyone Help Me Out?
-
Well, this definitely ought to make for an interesting 1st post ever here.
As the title clearly states it: I'd like to know exactly how to enable/turn on 2-Level Tab Stacking in Vivaldi.
As far as trying to learn/figure it out on my own, to be honest, I haven't had much luck yet. I have tried so far searching my inquiry online, but I'm still a little puzzled about how exactly you do it. This link here is sort of helpful, but it still loses me & IMO, doesn't exactly provide the steps needed if you're someone link me who wants to enable this feature. Link: https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tabs/tab-stacks/ (Also, I'm still learning some of Vivaldi's ropes & I admit it's a great browser to fall in love with!
) For anyone curious or interested, I do have the latest version of the browser installed on my pc which is 3.6.2165.40.
With that being said, if anyone would like to help me out, I would highly appreciate a step-by-step type of tutorial or something. Also, if any of you have questions or need further details, drop me a line & I'll be sure to get back with you!
Thanks in advance!

@Jennings92 See Settings/Tabs - Tab Stacks
Enable "Two Level" -
I just tried checking my settings, but I don't seem to have the option oddly enough despite running the latest version of the browser. Here is the screenshot for confirmation:
Is there anything else I can try since the option isn't shown in my settings?
-
@Jennings92 right side of that image you posted, toward the bottom. It is marked as enabled.
-
@Ayespy Oh. I totally didn't catch that when I took my screenshot.
So, since the option IS actually enabled, how do I go about turning on/enabling 2-Level Tab Stacking? Can anyone educate me? I hope it's easy...
-
@Jennings92 It's on. Have you tried stacking any tabs? If you do, and you open any stacked tab, you should see it along with the rest of the stack, on the 2nd level.
-
@Ayespy Well, I haven't tried yet as I don't exactly know how to do it. Granted, ever since I tried out Vivaldi --(about a year ago, can't quite remember)-- I have to admit that I've really come to love it. Even though I don't know how to like literally everything or know everything there is to know about the browser. Hope you understand my point.

@Jennings92 You can slowly drag one tab onto another and release it when the target tab darkens, and that will stack them.
You can also hold the Ctrl button and click on one tab after another, and that will multi-select them. Then you can right-click any of the multi-selected tabs and select "New tab stack with selection" and that will also stack those tabs.
-
@Ayespy Interesting. Are these all the steps I need for this process of 2-Level Tab Stacking? Also, if I were to close the browser & then re-open it, would this setting/option be enabled when I go to re-open the browser or not?
-
@Jennings92 When the setting is on, it's on until you turn it off. Closing the browser does not turn it off. When the setting is on, all stacks are 2-level stacks. And any time you click on a stacked tab the second level will appear, showing all tabs in the stack.
-
@Ayespy I see. So is there any easy way of turning it off if I wanted to?
-
@Jennings92 Yes. Go to settings, the window you captured, and click on the blue dot that shows it's enabled. That will then cause the blue dot to disappear, and the setting will be turned off.
