Trackball mouse back button goes back 2 pages

I have a Kensington Expert Trackball. I use the top two buttons as back and forward buttons. it works flawlessly in every other browser. In Vivaldi, it will go back or go forward 2 pages every time. This is annoying. Is there anything i can do about this? I've attempted turning off gestures but that didn't work.

I don't have issues in any other program, just this one. Everything works perfectly except when I hit the back button it goes back 2 pages. super annoying, and super weird. it also goes forward two pages also.

I see this issue goes back to 2016. Is this forum even observed by the Vivaldi developers?

No. The forum is for users to discuss problems.
The developers refer to bug reports not forum posts.
