Future AI and basic emotions eh ?
Not selling it to me, though managers and journalists will love it.Machine Learning is not intelligent and once it is, it is no longer considered artificial. Until then it is merely a painting of what intelligence looks like, as imagined by the author.
ML can be easily biased, and often you can't tell why it is making the choices it makes once it has been refining it's own algorithms for a while.
If it isn't changing it's own programming and parameters as it goes, then it is just a learning machine with no direction towards intelligence.
This is what most so-called AI is.
At no point will is ask itself "why am I doing this ?" unless directed to by the programmer. What I see is lack of accountability with "AI" and an easy way to wash your hands of blame if the secret algorithm is blocking the wrong domains, or has been given loads of bad data.
Unless this can be audited, and the reason for each entry be known and shown, I'd rather stick with a more transparent and accountable system, especially when it comes to matters of privacy and security.

He has a technical issue - machine learning is the process by which most AIs are trained, not the resulting AI. But he is also correct in that AIs tend to develop biases and there is no way to audit them (even if they are open source). The same can be said of human intelligence. I would suggest you be more civil - not him - as he did not attack you personally. It will take some time for those of us who have slightly more than a passing knowledge of AI (vague and general as that knowledge may be) to trust that the internal biases of a given AI system don't detract from the results.

However that field is very much in its infancy, and doesn't seem to be used here.

@LonM "No, we will NOT release the source code of the AI. It is proprietary."??????

I always find it hilarious when someone feels they need to post a screenshot of the command line instead of just copying the text
Anyway, I have no idea where the absurd notion of an "AI" comes into this. It's a just list for ad-blocking, plain and simple, created by some algorithm. The algorithm might be complex, that still doesn't make it an AI.
The user has posted about this list on (at least) two other occasions already in the last months...

https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/52979/how-to-block-every-single-tiny-ads-and-youtube-adsI mean, I applaud the effort (apart from calling it "AI generated"), but not doing the same posting over and over again. It smells like self-promotion.

Only solution is a screenshot!
Your terminal does not have working scrollback? Are you not logging to file?
Algorithms cannot have ""emotions""
That's true. But are you saying your "AI" has actual "emotions"? Because if so you need to publish your research tout suite because that's a Turing-award worthy finding!
I am sorry, just trying to help others with adblockers...
I respect that, just don't claim it's more than it is.
Autosufficient learning system? Development of 'thinking' computer systems? Knowledge engineering?
Call it what you will, it's all hype words anyway. But don't make the absurd claim your collection of scripts/algorithms/neural networks/machine learning/whatever is an "AI" because it's not.
I mean, if you don't want to use it, if this triggers you so much, feel free to not use it!! I am forcing no one!
It's not "triggering" (who coined that stupid term anyway), I'm just reacting to your claim the lists are created by an "AI", which is patently false.
I'm not going to use it, I use uBlock and besides I don't believe in IP-based hosts-blocking because it's bound to break sites you want to use sooner or later, then it will be hell to troubleshoot. It will also be impossible to keep up, especially now that most content providers use CDNs and IPs will change on a regular basis.
Others might find use for it, and that's fine.

I'll be frank: Your post is a catchy slogan, that tells me nothing about the product you're advertising. What is this "Quantum Ad-List", and how it is different from any other ad list?
-
Hi,
I think your lists are greats.
Could you create one who blocks intrusive anti-ads-blockers ?
But please don't do it like fuckfuckadblock. If that list lets you play a streaming video wich habitually wants you to disable your adblocker, the streaming video shows pops-up. Horribles ones. (Porn, shopping, etc).
Thanks.
