taskmanager shows cookiebot.com process
-
hi all
the internal task manger (via
SHIFT+ESC
) shows me always 2 processes "Subframe"how can I check, which tab, panel or extension this subframes belong to? or is this something from vivaldi?
-
Subframes and dedicated workers are usually shown below the tab that's causing them. Make sure the Task column is not sorted.
SHIT+ESC
That's what I usually do too

but normally the related processes have the vertical line in front!? like in the screenshot they stand alone

ah, damit

@derDay Not sure, the vertical line is not necessarily always there. What is above the dedicated worker process in your screenshot?
Other than that, I guess extensions and panels could create subframes too?
-
@Pathduck
the shown dedicated worker ist "connected" to a website/tab above -
@derDay Then the subframes might be connected to the website. What happens if you close it?
Are the subframes there after restarting Vivaldi?
What about disabling extensions? -

dedicated worker
Maybe also check vivaldi://serviceworker-internals/

What about disabling extensions?ok, seems that the subframes are connected to the tab above. after closing V the subframes are gone and show again, when I "activate" the suspicious tab again.
mystery solved, but nevertheless is it a bug, because it should be connected with the vertical line to the connected tab?
@Gwen-Dragon worth to report it? (or is it a chromium thing out of range from vivaldi?) -
Okay, the subframes appear to be linked to the tab above. When I "activate" the suspect tab again after quitting V, the subframes are gone and appear again.
Although the riddle has been answered, is it still a problem because it should be connected to the related tab by a vertical line?
Is it worth reporting it to @Gwen-Dragon? (Or is it a chrome issue outside of Vivaldi's range?) -
@chrisjordan91 Do you have a step-by-step description how we can reproduce it?
