Friday Poll: which productivity tool do you use?
-
Hello again, thanks a mil for participating in last week poll!
This week we’d like to hear about the tools you use that help you be more productive and efficient in your work and life.
We asked our volunteers and our team this week which tools they use the most and came up with the following list. We know it’s not an exhaustive and the perfect list and that’s why we want to hear from you. It contains 16 different categories displayed over three pages.
This time for this particular case, we used the survey plugin so we'll publish the results after it ends next Thursday.

@Gaëlle OT question : is there a reason why (I noticed it for the previous poll) we need to login again when going to the root vivaldi.net site while we're logged in in the forum?
-
@Gaëlle Done.
-
@Ornorm yes, we're missing and need to implement the Single Sign On (aka SSO) feature to make it smoother. We have it in the pipeline, it's just quite a lot of work to do.
-
Some other Apps I use and suggest:
[Windows only]
Clipboard: Clip-X | Light and powerful
File Manager: Q-Dir | Powerful and also at PortableApps.com -
@Gaëlle Not 100% sure but I'm afraid it's possible to participate multiple times.
I did fill the poll in and refreshed the page (I thought I could maybe, like the previous poll, see the intermediate results) and I'm invited to fill the poll in again (didn't do it so I don't know if, at the end I would receive a warning like "Hey, you're cheating, you did already participate"). -
@Gaëlle
I guess, Keypass is meant to be Keepass? -
: Foobar2000 and good noise cancelling headphones
I must be very unproductive and weird/old/set in my ways because very little of what I use was an option...
Clipboard Manager: Ctrl+C (and a lot of Alt-Tabbing)
Content blockers: uBlock Origin
Desktop launcher: Open Shell Menu
E-Mail: Thunderbird
File manager: Total Commander
Image manager: Irfanview
Taking notes: Notepad++
Password Manager: KeePass. Not KeyPass. I usually spell it KeepAss
Social network: Vivaldi.netIt's nice you included Jottacloud, they're a really great service, and nice guys all round
-
@Pathduck
ahh, another one using the advantages of TotalCommander (and Irfan) -
Voted. This time without log in.
-
@derDay Indeed thanks for mentioning it. It's corrected.
-
@Ornorm it is possible to fill it out multiple times. I didn't want to put any restrictions nor tracking for that reason it doesn't remember you. It might not show the most accurate results but that's ok, we'd like to get some general ideas.
-
@Pathduck thanks for sharing these great insights. I knew we were not covering all possibilities and were missing out some. As much as possible I didn't want it to be longer than what it already was for that matter your tools are not part of it. Sorry...
-
Also done this, i don't use a lot of things anyway.
-
Done, surprised Vivaldi was not one of the social networks
-
@Chas4 also no reddit and twitter
