Script error on Cryptpad
-
Until this afternoon I could work with cryptpad.fr without problems. But this evening I got the following:
Other browsers (Chromium, Firefox) don't have this problem.
Can you replicate the error on Vivaldi or is it just me who has this problem?
How can I fix this? -
@Amusiklotz Hello, looks like you're blocking third-party cookies from
sandbox.cryptpad.info
.Stupid web devs if you ask me, requiring cookies from another domain for their site to work... and not giving any kind of information on what's causing the error. Especially when they know their users are a technical and privacy-oriented and so would likely block 3rd-party cookies
I would recommend talking to their support about their site breaking like this without any information for users.

No, then it should work after enabling 3rd-party-cookies. But after enabling them on the Vivaldi browser nothing changes.
But yes, guess I need to ask their staff what they actually did so that it is not even possible to run that site on Vivaldi. -

Make sure you've updated Vivaldi to the latest stable version. There was a bug that caused 3rd-party cookies to be blocked even if the setting said they weren't. Also check the URL
chrome://settings/cookies
to be sure. Are you using a Private Window? If so default in private is to block third-party cookies, and there is no setting in the Vivaldi UI to change that.

@Gwen-Dragon Yes, it works now, I've just noticed. Must've been a server-side error.
It still tries to save database storage from a 3rd-party domain though. No idea what that would mean for the functionality of the site.
