@aminebk I definitely did enjoy that pairing of Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock.
EDITED hours later:
Since being summarily removed from the spawning thread, none of this content in the new thread makes ostensible sense any more. Hence for historical accuracy this was the aforesaid thread:

@Steffie huh?
-
@legobuilder26 Possibly you preferred them in The Lake House? That was also a fine work, especially for lovers of romance, pathos & time-travel. I confess however that it saddened me by playing to my existential angst.
-
@legobuilder26 "Speed." It was a movie starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock, about a bus with a bomb attached to it, that would explode if the bus slowed down below a certain speed.
-
@Ayespy In one of the deleted scenes it had a bunch of whining passengers crapping on & on about how this bus was so slow & they really wish they'd caught that other bus which told them exactly how & where to sit, what to wear, & which windows to look from, but did reach their destination 1.5 seconds sooner.
-
@Steffie Now you're just making stuff up. I totally get your drift - but, really, expect sarcasm/parody to be completely lost on an OP who would quit, rather than diagnose, browser performance.
-
@Ayespy And also may not be a native English speaker (nevermind an OZ speaker)! :face_with_stuck-out_tongue_winking_eye:

I forked the discussion.
@Steffie and co. There have been a few long, off topic discussions lately. Please stay on topic, especially if users are looking for help. Thank you. -
@jane-n A sense of humour is not axiomatically antithetical to a technical forum's efficacy, not least for the nature of some posts. Holding more than one thought in one's head at one time is just multi-threading, after all.
-
@Steffie I'm sorry, but 8 comments without a single attempt to actually address the issue OP posted is too much.
-
@jane-n Sigh.

I thought it was called "The Bus that Couldn't Slow Down."
-
@BoneTone Maybe in China. Not in English-speaking markets.
-
-
@BoneTone Oh, ouch. Never watched the Simpsons.
-
@Ayespy no worries, the reference is also 20+ years old now too. I gotta say though, you're missing out.
-
@BoneTone Yeah, no. Comedy that relies on human stupidity, selfishness and shallow-mindedness has not appealed to me since I was about 12 or so.
-
@Ayespy I take it you donβt read the news.
-
@Ayespy as you've never seen The Simpsons, I can promise you that's not what they rely upon. What has made the show such a great success is that the humor has many layers to it. Yes, there is the simple & the slapstick, there is also rich & nuanced social & political commentary. It's what makes it a great family show, and the longest running sitcom, there is humor for all ages.
